Beat 1/2 cup softened butter and 1 cup sugar until fluffy.

Add 1/2 cup Promised Land Dairy Old Fashioned Eggnog and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Mix well.

Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well.

Gradually add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Mix well.

Divide dough in half in the shape of a log, approximately 2 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter.

Refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut each log into 1/4-inch slices.

Bake on an ungreased baking sheet for 10 minutes or until very lightly brown.

Let cool and add icing. Approximately 5 dozen cookies.
Eggnog Icing

3 cups powdered sugar

1 cup softened butter
-
1/4 cup Promised Land Dairy Eggnog
Directions

Combine 3 cups powdered sugar, 1 cup softened butter and 1/2 tsp. vanilla until blended. Gradually add 1/4 cup Promised Land Dairy Old Fashioned Eggnog until smooth.
Note: Add more Promised Land Dairy Eggnog, if icing is too thick. Add more sugar, if icing is too thin.
